    When I was younger, I always recoqnize this brand as they always have very prominent graphics and guess what, they just came out with a whole new range of racquets! They’re all in 15mm beam with two head sizes (94 & 99 sq/in) and the paintjob & design are solid. Each racquet comes with a customization pack with adjustment weights as well… cool!! (more…)

    There will be an event for people who wants a start up in tennis called ‘Play & Stay’ at National Tennis Centre (indoor court), Jalan Duta on the 17-18 July 2010. This event is specially for people who is very new to the sport & is designed to keep you playing & stay playing in the game. Its a very fun start up, nothing serious but it will help you on your way to this exciting game.

    Equipment: All provided & free
    Refreshments: All provided & free
    What to bring: your sports attire ie. shoes, dress, shorts, tshirt, racquet (if you have one)

  • The Klang Valley Social Tennis League

    The Klang Valley Social Tennis League

    The Klang Valley Social Tennis League is a year-round event in which social tennis players from the Klang Valley play against one another in a competitive tour-like setting.

    Players will play matches at different venues against different opponents continuously throughout the year to satisfy their appetite for competitive tennis. Improvement to the social player comes via the very fact they have to constantly face the psychological pressure of competitive play, adapt their game to face many different types of opponents, court conditions and environments.

    Time and Dates: All year round. Matches will be arranged to accommodate players schedules.

    Venue: Various, all around the Klang Valley

    Events: Men’s and Women’s Singles & Doubles, graded and ungraded events available.

    Open League – Represent yourself in singles & doubles, play for points and move up the league table. Season ends with a season tournament.

    Team League – Form a group of 4-6 players and play in a series of singles and doubles matches to earn points for your team. Season ends with a team season tournament.

    Skills League – Complete an assortment of tennis drills and tricks to earn points and improve your tennis skills at the same time.

    Open Match Day – A one or two day doubles event where players are randomly paired up to play matches in a round-robin format.

    Entrance Fee: None for now so sign up before the offer ends.

    Payment(s): Only payment for balls and court booking will be required.

    Extras: Each registered player will have a personalised profile on the upcoming website.

The league will be run in such a way as to accommodate players with busy schedules as well. All in the name of improving the standard of tennis in Klang Valley.

    Tennis Playground – The Club, Bukit Utama

    The Club is a members only club located near the Curve in Damansara and it has 3 nice indoor artificial grass courts. Apart from the tennis courts, it has various other sports facilities like badminton, squash, golf, swimming pool, etc. & if you are a One Utama’s One card holder, you can book the tennis court for Rm26 per hour even if you are not a member. So if you want to play in this club but don’t want to be a member, just go to the One Utama Shopping Centre & get yourself a One Utama’s One Card for like rm10 if I am not wrong and then you can proceed to this club & book for a court. They also have a very nice place to eat & chill out downstairs.
