Tennis Playground – Holiday Villa Club Subang

    hvilla09

Got invited recently to play at this private club located at Subang Jaya, Selangor. This is a members only club & it is attached to the Holiday Villa Hotel in Subang Jaya. Club membership can be had for around RM2000 to RM3000 if you buy from members who are selling off their membership. Monthly membership fees are RM77 & members can bring in one guest for free.

There are 2 new carpet courts & 4 newly resurfaced hard court here at the time of this posting. Courts condition are great but the lighting is not so good. I would rate the courts here 8 out of 10 & probably higher if they have better night lighting. Balls & shoe insole will last longer on the carpet courts as they are softer & doesnt bite as much as hard courts. Those who are used to hard courts, you will enjoy the softness of the carpet surface but will hate the ball behaviour & bounce. Overall this club is great because of the various other facillities like gym, pool, squash, sauna, badminton, etc. There are ample parking space, the tennis courts are quiet & there are no traffic disturbance because it is elevated above the hotel building. There are very few tennis playing members here at this club so if you plan on joining, be prepared to play with the wall… LoL!

  • Tennis Playground: Goodyear Court 10, USJ

Tennis Playground: Goodyear Court 10, USJ

Here’s some pictures of a tennis playground in one of the goodyear courts in USJ, Subang which I covered recently. There are two courts here & from the pictures, you can see that the court is not at it’s best condition here. I would rate the courts here 4 out of 10 but despite the rating this place has a very active community in tennis ranging from youngsters to adults. The courts are for residents only.

A unit here would cost Rm150k upwards back in 2010 & quickly rising to the Rm300k mark this year because of the future LRT station which are being built nearby. This place neighbours many similar development including goodyear courts 1 to 9. While there are many shopping malls, higher learning institutions, restaurants & hospital within driving distance, subang is well known with it’s traffic congestion.

Tennis Playground – Kiaramas Cendana Condo

This playground belongs to a private condominium located at Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. There are many high rise apartments & condo in Bukit Kiara & a lot of them has tennis courts. There are two hard courts here, they are located above the condo’s carpark & the surrounding are full of greeneries as you can see from the picture. The court side facilities are nice, with a barbecue area & a shade rest area with fans & lights. Its a good place to have a nice tennis gathering. The court blue paint seems to become powdery & are coming out of the surface. I find this problem consistent with most tennis courts found on medium to high cost condos around the city. Maybe they’re made by the same court construction company? I would rate the courts here 8 out of 10 at the time of this posting. But one court has a more faded blue than the other, maybe they’re surfaced at a different time. I dont know about the night lighting condition as I havent been here during the night yet. The official site of this condo is at kiaramascendanacondo.com Enjoy the pictures below:

Tennis Playground – Tasik Titiwangsa Public Courts

The Tasik Titiwangsa DBKL public courts is located in the city center in Kuala Lumpur. It has 10 tennis courts with shower rooms & a cafeteria. It doesnt have the best courts in KL but it is located in the middle of KL so if you are staying in the city center, it would be the nearest public court. I would rate the courts 5 out of 10.  A lot of the courts has faded lines & some of them has basketball/futsal court lines drawn on them. (more…)
