I've been wondering if we consume 1 big bottle of 100+ in 1 tennis session (approx 2 hrs), would it be too much? I know we lose water & salt through sweat but would 1 big bottle replenish all that with extras too? Just worried on side effects later to our body for over-consumption of sports drink. |

damn... ck... this is a super good question which requires a technically researched answer. We need some sports nutritionist to answer this |

Yeah man Z........ I know it'll be pretty hard to answer this question. However I'm hoping everyone would chip in the opinion and after reading then we can make a conclusion. So everyone, just post in your view. |

Its too much for sure, I strongly suspect, I think if you want to play safe, use a 1/3 of the 100+ and mix the rest with water, if you want throw in a pinch of salt into the mix, this I would say better balance. Even if we play 2 hours, lets be honest here, sometimes the times we play its either picking up balls, looking at the next court eying the hawt chicka there, talking about the next Fed racket .From what I gather this is what the pro's drink. http://www.accelsport.com/mainstore.php http://www.cytosport.com/ Who know's someone someone do a mini bulk, whoop Z and brag about it here! you know me lah...... |

Hmmm Prae, from your suggestion maybe a small bottle of 100+ with lotsa water is the better alternative huh. Seems pretty logical.

I'm a final yr medical student and perhaps I can provide some professional opinion. Yes we do lose salt during sweating but the amount is not significant for 2 hours of play. However, given the amount of nutrients+salt in a big bottle of 100+, it won't do much harm to our body too. Besides that all extra salts & minerals are excreted in our urine. So all of you can drink as much as you want without worrying too much. |

Hi Dr. Ken It does make sense that our body have natural systems in place to get rid of any excessive intake but wouldn't this be burdening to our organs? As such in the long run I'm afraid problems would arise if we were to consume without worry. Hence we have ads encouraging us to take less sugar, salt etc etc..... |
