i think i kena tennis elbow liao.. it hurts the most when i pronate wrongly during serve.. now have to wear the band..

Darn! I'm hit by tennis elbow also. Have been in pain everytime midway and after playing tennis the past 3 weeks! Heeeelppp!

I'm using Counterpain to ease the pain. Any of you guys got a long term cure?

I was told to rest, but i can't bear to sit out of tennis for more than a week!

instead of stringing to my usual 50lbs on big ace, i'm now on 30lbs and my tennis elbow don't occur during game anymore..

Stop using poly if u wanna have a long tennis life. Poly doesnt make u play any better, trust me.

Hahahah poly and bad technique is a recipe for a short tennis career hehehe, if you not a 4.0 and above, I would not recommend poly to anyone, coz your strokes are not established yet.

Poly user's should string in low 40's-52 lbs max, on 90-100 square inch racket, I think if you go above 55lbs chance's of injury are there, depends on your physical body. You may not feel the 'effect' now, but 5-10 years down the road, you may receive news that you cannot play tennis anymore.....

If you like high tension, 60lbs and above, I think you should look into multifilament strings by Technifibre like X-1 Biphase, which you can use in the main, and hybrid with a cheap synthetic gut which will act as cross's, or use it in a full stringbed,worse case scenario use Natural Gut, which you can string around 70lbs, if you like, tension is SUBJECTIVE, it depends entirely on the user.

I think I might have one too. Pain and pain and pain as I don't really care bout it till I can serve anymore as it only happens when big slicy serve is made. Only on serves. The pain will be at the inside of my right arm (Lengan). I felt like electrocuted in split seconds when it occurs (yes only when serving super hard + super slice).

So, when it got to painful, I'll put on some Yoko-yoko or Wak Dakam OiI and would rest for a day as more than a day of rest is more painful than the tennis elbow itself, hahaha......

and the pain has never been gone since....i can't remember.

If the pain is on the inside of the elbow, it is called 'golfer's elbow' which is the same as tennis elbow. I had that last time when I was serving 5 baskets of balls per day with babolat aeropro drive with pro hurricane tour strings (good combo for losing your arm).

I've researched into the causes of tennis elbow religiously & I really hate the fact that a lot of people would point out that hitting with the wrong technique is the main cause of this injury. These so called experts doesnt have enough research, education & experience from various sources & their judgement is just based on their own experiences.

I can tell you that the main cause of tennis elbow are 90% on the gear + frequency of play & only 10% would be from hitting with the wrong technique (that normally happens when you're below NTRP 3.0). You dont believe me? Go string 60lbs with poly on a babolat pure drive & serve 5 baskets of balls per day
