Though the latest version, the Aerogel, is more user-friendly than its predecessors, it’s no exception. It’s slightly lighter than the M-Fil 2Hundred, plus the addition of Aerogel (an extremely light and strong material) to the top and bottom of the racquet face enhances power and playability. Still, you’ve got to be able to handle the weight, provide your own pace, and routinely find the sweet spot in order to appreciate this frame. Players who can will be rewarded with a consistently solid response from all parts of the court. Those who aren’t as proficient with their mechanics should look elsewhere. Spin production is moderate, but that’s to be expected with a dense (18x20) string pattern. But free-swinging baseliners who appreciate knowing when they miss the sweet spot will like the frame’s feedback. My review: This was my first real racquet. It is quite a demanding racquet. But if you want to improve, the racquet will help. Timing is very important to handle this racquet due the the headsize. Once you get used to hitting the sweet spot, you'll have a great control over your shots. The weight is just fine. Not too light nor too heavy. Serving using this racquet is amazing if you have the techniques. The weight of the racquet will give you the extra pop on the serve. The weight also makes blocking your opponent's serve more easier. Slice shots are just off the hook. The racquet bites the ball well and ensures that the ball stays low. The racquet is excellent when volleying thanks again to the weight. But if you're used to lighter racquets, you better be prepared to make changes. Give the racquet sometime then you'll know how awesome the racquet is. As mentioned by tennis.com, Dunlop Aerogel 200 doesn't give you much spin. If you like hitting hard and flat, then you have to give this racquet a shot. All in all, this racquet is worth a try. |
